With FastFoldPlus, the spray boom is folded and unfolded easier and faster than ever before. Added to the joystick operation, the operator has this function at the touch of a button. Different technologies have also been used to make folding and unfolding the boom not only faster, but also safer. This increases the system’s life and reduces the number of actions needed to fold and unfold the boom.
Unfold 48 meters in 22 seconds
The time it takes to fold the spray boom in and out with the new Agrifac FastFoldPlus depends on the boom width. As an example, even a three-section boom with a length of 48m can be folded in 22 seconds.
Quickly folding in or out
Once at the field, your crop sprayer is ready to roll in no time. Folding the boom in and out during work is also much quicker and thus saves a lot of time. This can considerably increase the number of sprayed hectares per hour and therefore also increase your efficiency.
One joystick movement
With FastFoldPlus, all you need is one movement of the joystick to completely fold the boom in or out. You specify the part of the boom that you want to fold in or out. The boom parts are then automatically folded in or out in the right sequence and as quickly as possible.
Sensor measurements, faster or slower
FastFoldPlus works according to the ‘slow-fast-slow’ principle. The boom is slowly accelerated and decelerated towards the end of the process. This enables the system to quickly fold the boom in and out without the boom having to absorb a lot of force. Hinge points are also subjected to less wear and tear.
Set to any position
The oil that is fed to the hydraulic cylinders can be precisely controlled. Where traditional hydraulic fans only open and close, the valve in the FastFoldPlus system can be set to any position. This means that the oil that is fed to the hydraulic fans can be controlled easily.
Quick, even on tilted slopes
Even if the machine is on a tilted slope, the boom folds quickly, evenly and symmetrically. During the folding process, a variety of sensors measure the position of each part of the boom. A part that opens or closes too fast is slowed down so that all of the parts are folded in or out together. This increases safety as well as the lifetime of the machine.
