This position is for 40 hours per week. You will be part of a small team of sales and service colleagues covering our French dealers and end users. You will visit our headquarters in Steenwijk (The Netherlands) occasionally. Most of the time you will be on the way to visit dealers and customers.
Role
Agrifac is re-entering the French market and looking for an experienced Service Engineer who will ensure that dealers and end users are supported in an adequate and correct way. He attends to questions, malfunctions and other service requests so that our machines can be operated in the most optimal and efficient way.
As a Service Engineer, you play a key role in After Sales service activities for our customers as well as dealers. In a controlled manner, the French team will be introduced for future growth. Your work will be focussed mainly on the areas where most of our installed base is located. Agrifac will establish a dual distribution model meaning that we will offer factory support both to dealers as well as directly to end-users.
This position is for 40 hours per week. You will be working closely with colleagues from sales and service based in Steenwijk. You will visit our headquarters in Steenwijk (The Netherlands) occasionally for (technical) training and teambuilding. In addition, you are often on the road to (potential) customers/dealers in your sales area.
Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance and repair service work on sprayers on site at customers
- Advise and support appointed Agrifac dealers and service partners;
- Have direct responsibility to provide sustainable world class technical, product‐ and customer support for our customers in France
- Register, analyse, troubleshoot and attend to malfunctions, incidents and service requests/questions from users;
- Analyse product and performance issues and communicate with Agrifac service helpdesk when needed
- Create service workorder reports in which the findings of each job are recorded and further actions are defined if needed. Share these reports in a timely way and provide colleagues (service coordinators) access to this information;
- Ensure and monitor the follow up of the identified actions and duly provide customers with feedback on the progress.
Requirements & competences
- A degree in secondary or higher professional education in a technical field
- Extensive experience in the use of machinery for the agriculture and/or for growing vegetables and fruit
- Technical knowledge pertaining to electrical systems (Canbus), hydraulics and hydraulic drive systems on self‐propelled equipment
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Proficient level in English (both verbal and written)
- Analytical and problem solving
- Able to work without supervision
- Proactive and flexible (able to anticipate and react quickly to rapidly changing situations)
