Agrifac Machinery B.V has the vision to provide the world with sufficient, nutritious and safe food. For this Agrifac develops "Brilliant Simple" agricultural sprayers and harvesters. Brilliant Simple means innovative and easy to operate. The combination of well thought-out technology, a beautiful design, very low maintenance costs, a high trade-in value and an adequate service device makes every Agrifac machine a model of innovation and efficiency. Agrifac employs about 150 people.

Function Description

Every farmer and contractor has its own daily challenge to achieve the highest possible return at the lowest cost. On a more global level, we know there is sufficient capacity to produce enough food, despite the increasing world population. Farmers can grow sufficient, healthier, safer and more sustainable food. Because that’s exactly the business that Agrifac is in! 

As sales manager you are responsible for the increase of the market share, sales and the achievement of defined commercial targets in Canada and the US. You work closely with, and report to, the Chief Commercial Officer of Agrifac Machinery BV. 

Further activities

  • Manage and lead a number of dealers and distribution Partners in Canada.
  • Stakeholder management with Distribution Partner Royal Reesink Canada
  • Analyses the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization;
  • To take responsibility for maximizing your own sales results by active sales to key accounts;
  • Investigate and evaluate specific business opportunities for products, solutions and services by analysing mid-term investments of customers;
  • You maintain relationships with distribution partners and you expand where possible. Increase and expand brand awareness;
  • Active contribution to develop the sales strategy; 
  • You act as the bridge between the factory and the current stakeholders in Canada and future stakeholders in the US
  • You build your own networks, exploit new ideas and consistently take the initiative.
  • Help develop a strategy for Agrifac to enter the US market. 

Job requirements

  • A degree in higher professional education;
  • Experience in agribusiness is required
  • Experience with sprayer technology is a plus
  • At least 5 -10 years of experience in a comparable sales function;
  • Extensive experience in selling machinery for the agriculture and/or for growing  vegetables and fruit;
  • Knowledge of dealing with large farmers 
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Frequent travel is required for this position (50% min)
