We are looking for an Area Sales Representative for self-propelled sprayers in Iowa

Function Description

Every farmer and contractor has its own daily challenge to achieve the highest possible return at the lowest cost. On a more global level, we know there is sufficient capacity to produce enough food, despite the increasing world population. Farmers can grow sufficient, healthier, safer and more sustainable food. Because that’s exactly the business that Agrifac is in! 

Our Area Sales Representative contributes to this daily challenge to our customers in America with a professional and enthusiastic attitude, with the goal to increase the market share.  He/she is an ambassador of the company and is representative and has a positive attitude. 

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
  • Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization
  • The job requires regular coordination between various departments of the organization. You do this in a pleasant and effective manner, that represents the importance of the interests;
  • Prior to visiting a customer, you collect all relevant information in order to advise professionally;
  • Supporting Demo projects;
  • You represent Agrifac at exhibitions.

Job requirements

  • You have a higher professional education degree or equivalent  in a technical sales capacity
  • You have extensive experience in selling agricultural machinery and ideally with self-propelled sprayers.
  • You plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment;
  • You are willing to travel around the country;

  • Sense of commerce;
  • Able to work without supervision;
  • Team player having initiative (internal and external);
  • Proactive and flexible (able to anticipate and react quickly to rapidly changing situations);

Agrifac employs a total of 130 people. As an Area Sales Representative you work together with a team of 5 colleagues, based in Davenport.  You will report to the State Manager.
