We are looking for Technical Field Support Engineers

A key component of our business is the product support team who provide technical field support to Agrifac customers and partners. The work is challenging, fast-paced and very fulfilling. In a varied role, product support professionals work with every area of the company, including sales, engineering, spare parts, manufacturing, marketing, dealers and customers. Through exposure to all facets of our business, individuals can identify other areas of the company that may serve as a future career path.

Function description

Due to ongoing growth in North America we require Technical Field Support Engineers based in Iowa (US), Alberta and Saskatchewan (CAN). You will perform as a team member of Agrifac North America with a territory specific responsibility to perform technical, product, & customer support initiatives for our range of self-propelled crop sprayers within Canada This position is focused on ensuring that customers within the territory are supported through direct interaction with the customer base and Agrifac partners. In addition, you will:

  • Have direct responsibility to provide sustainable world class technical, product, & customer support for our customers and partners within the territory
  • Resolve product and performance issues and communicate with Agrifac Machinery B.V. on appropriate issues and solutions
  • Manage efforts in developing partner product support capabilities to improve customer satisfaction
  • Promote sale of products, parts, and services to partners and end users and be jointly accountable for meeting sales goals and market share goals
  • Administer Company product warranty & Product Improvement Program (PIP) policies
  • Develop Agrifac partners service management/profitability capabilities

Profile

We need an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. Ideally, you will have a formal qualification backed with relevant experience in the industry, especially experience with self-propelled sprayers.

Job requirements

  • Knowledge of products, customers, markets and competitors, (agricultural equipment preferred);
  • Field Service experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer network, and broad product knowledge;
  • Customer/Product Support experience with customer interaction regarding products, parts, and service;
  • Willingness to travel into difficult environments and/or for extended periods of time (approximately 95%);
  • Periodic International and Domestic travel.

A strong candidate will also have

  • Technical skills, knowledge and experience in Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering;
  • Technical knowledge pertaining to electrical systems (canbus), hydraulics and hydraulic drive systems on self-propelled equipment in a technical capacity;
  • Experience of working on agricultural machinery, self-propelled crop sprayers preferred but not essential;
  • Maintenance and repair contract experience within the Agricultural Industry;
  • Full driving licence and passport;
  • Canadian residency.
